Poems about Poems
It had lines
stocked and straight
- but strove for curves
It had rhyme
like breaking waves
running back and forth
from source to shore
It had weight
like gold
or oaths
- with well kept words
and kept its time
like morning, myth
and childhood
…and yet, matured
and then its sound
was great
as mountainsides
which held in silence
…and yet, was heard
It was a poem
but perhaps
and yet
…a bird

Poem2:
‘Distance’ simply isn’t
‘Don’t’ can’t be
Fear is but a metaphor
...Love is everything
and when the words get confusing
just trust the feeling
and when the keyboard isn't working
and communication aint happening
Just Sing
!
Poem3:
Content
I would like to take a course
Of action and passion called
‘More stories Moses never knew he told’
In this rest or rant
I sit and read the evening menu
If this study be a wooden booth
And a waiter at the window
From whom we order what be written
In the winnowed world of penflow
Then:
“I want a poem please"
What with all these leaves and reams
And not a round word seen
Straight lines can only stretch so far
But a circle
Ahhh shes eternal
So please pass that piece of fruitful
With the red skin, read scent
and a dash of pepper meant
Let me press my peer upon it
I’ll barely bend the binder, making but a dent –
Just put the mix of consonants to my lips
that I may sip
An elixir mixed
mouthfulls
of letters
Compressed to better
Juice this fruitful
Moment of existence
Teach me art of alchemy
That my phrases may ferment
A golden goblet set before me
Globe of glory
- its a story!
